Planning & Execution

“Simon Says” was always one of our favorite games growing up as a child. We would always listen carefully, abide by the instructions, and play a few rounds to gain insight of best practice all in efforts to become the best Simon. The “best” Simon was the one who could get everyone sitting by the end of the round. Knowing the end goal, we had to logically plan out and to execute the chess match in order to be successful. In much the same way, FE looks for individuals who can both absorb and participate in a structured environment in order to gain the best insights that matriculate into their own way to plan and execute a weekly schedule that ultimately makes them successful.

FE expectations are that each individual understands their monthly goals and they can effectively build weekly plans that work to achieve those goals. The plan balances types of accounts, new and existing customers, and 12-14 stops a day. Simon would agree that we provide some pretty stellar planning tools, but we also know there are apps, tools, and other ways to organize that can augment our current tools. If organization, structured schedules, and working towards a self-developed plan are strengths of yours, Simon also agrees you should look into the territory rep roles we have available!


Interpersonal Skills

You are probably thinking to yourself as you reflect: ‘isn’t this an obvious need of every job!?’ You aren’t wrong; however, FE specifically thrives in the age and space of drones, automation, and complex technology while still emphasizing the non-robotic, human-being component. Initially, our goal for employees meeting new customers is the ability to hold dynamic conversations across multiple audiences all the while embracing the attitude ‘listen to learn and learn to listen.’ From there it’s imperative to have a knack and desire to build long-lasting, genuine relationships rooted in trust.

During the interview process we spend quite a bit of time getting to know you to determine this ability, don’t be afraid to show us the best you!


Self-Management

The role of an FE Territory Rep is pretty self-explanatory . . . you’re literally representing your own territory! It’s like raising a child from infancy to adulthood – you develop it from the ground up, take care of and nurture it, and ultimately watch it grow into a full-grown sustainable business.

We pride ourselves on making sure you’re equipped with the highest levels of support, from a management, training and marketing standpoint. However, all of this comes with added responsibilities on your end. The key to becoming a successful salesperson isn’t solely about your outgoing personality, it’s also about how you manage your business.

So, how can you tell whether or not you can self-manage? Those who succeed in this area possess the following: self-discipline, determination, tenacity, confidence, adaptability, self-responsibility, and/or emotional fortitude. Any or all of these qualities might empower an individual to persevere in the face of challenges to complete goals/tasks.

Have you heard the 10,000-Hour Rule? Distinguished Author Malcolm Gladwell notably coined the principle to suggest that 10,000 hours of practice are necessary to become an expert in any field. Chemsearch FE has directly aligned this principle with the training program we’ve strategically structured to contribute to your success as a sales rep. Our 18-monthtraining program comes packaged with classroom-based training and field training – each training class occurring in 10-week intervals, and constant field training conducted by your direct manager, business development managers and members of our marketing team.
